Spires Hairdressing was established in 2008 by owners Richard and Karen Dandy, Karen also being the principal stylist. Since then, we have expanded to accommodate a dedicated colour suite and in 2011 welcomed Beauty in Spires Ltd and Beauty in Spires Laser & Skin Clinic.
Richard and Karen together with their team are proud to have built a strong reputation based on the incredibly high level of service offered by all her experienced and long-standing staff. At our core we are a family owned business but are always evolving.

In operation since 2008, Spires Hairdressing is an established and popular hairdresser in Sussex. Based in East Grinstead, we serve the town and surrounding area. Many of our clients are repeat customers, which is a testament to our high levels of service, but we always welcome new faces. Our aim is to listen to your wishes and bring them to life for you.

COVID-19 procedures

These procedures will be updated as and when notified by Her Majesty’s Government (HMG).
As we enter the new hairdressing World just to confirm that we will reopen our East Grinstead hair salon on SATURDAY 4th JULY 2020. Watch this space for beauty at both sites!
The below relates to EG salon at this time although the others will follow the same safety secure guidelines.
Here we have listed all the new procedures that have been put in place to ensure safety for all and to be COVID Secure in accordance with the Government Guidelines.
1.If you are feeling unwell please call and we will reschedule your appointment without a cancellation charge. We reserve the right to refuse your appointment if you are displaying any signs of illness.
2.All appointments must be made by phone (01342 324485) or email to salon@spireshairdressing.net. Unfortunately, no walking in to book is allowed.
3.Please arrive on time for your appointment and you will be taken to your position as we have a very limited waiting area.
4.Your stylist will be wearing a visor, disposable apron (gloves where needed) throughout their time with you, and as will be any assistant. You may wear a face-covering if you wish but not mandatory.
5.Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the salon and must be used upon entry as a minimum.
6.The salon will operate a one way system ‘In’ through the main entrance and ‘Out’ via the lower ground floor mezzanine side door.
7.We are asking you to retain your coats or jackets with you throughout your appointment (a plastic bag will be given to you if requested).
8.Social distancing will be maintained throughout the salon of 1 metre plus and as a result, the number of styling positions has been reduced.
9.Unfortunately, no food or drinks are to be consumed in the salon other than water in disposable cups or bottles. Natural water and cups will be available in the salon. Neither will newspapers or other reading material but you are welcome to bring your own.
10.The procedures when you meet your stylist will be as follows:
- Rest assured your position will have already been sanitized.
- You will be given a disposable gown which, you will be asked to fasten.
- Have clean towels.
- All equipment will be sanitized between each client.
- Hand sanitizers will be at your disposal on the position shelf.
11.Toilets will be open and sanitized regularly throughout the day.
12.All forms of payment will be accepted including cash which, will be handled with gloves.
13.Screens will be positioned on reception and throughout the salon where necessary.
14.In order to be COVID Secure, we have had to implement a small price increase on certain services. As we are unable to cut hair dry or spray down we now will have to shampoo all hair and as such the minimum cutting service will be a shampoo, cut, and rough dry.
